Earth Day, an annual global event, observed on April 22, celebrates the environmental movement and raises awareness about pollution and ways to maintain a clean habitat. On May 1, Kiwanis Clubs of Douglaston and Big Apple joined together to celebrate this significant event with its members at the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
