We need your help to build our campaign to support the kids that are impacted by COVID-19.
Kiwanis Club of Douglaston & Big Apple are inviting all the Circle K & Key Club members from New York City to participate in our upcoming projects that focus on helping the kids, families, minorities, and small businesses impacted by COVID-19. We want to build a strong team and program that power social good and create a sustainable community. You will be working alongside our club leaders or mentors and we hope you will gain real-life experience and recognition that could benefit your career.
Administrative Assistants
Provide daily support to our Lt. Governor and the club Presidents such scheduling meetings, documenting and organizing the important tasks
Assisting presentation and note-taking at the meetings
Know how to create a proposal
Be the liaison to our donors and politicians
Help us to organize the special events and prepare the grant applications
Comprehensive administrative support to assure the smooth running of the ongoing projects
You should have exceptional communication skills, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work
Editorial Assistants
Highly motivated and exceptionally well-organized Editorial Assistant with a strong interest in journalism and interactive media to provide support for the PR director and the Kiwanis leadership team
An interest in a broad range of cultural subjects
Interview and construct the content for our journal, website, marketing materials, and social media
Be creative and enthusiastic
Preferably you are interested or majored in Journalism in school
Your works will be published online or print
We wish to fill in multiple applicants who can speak in Spanish, Chinese, and other languages
Community Outreach Liaisons
You will be the eyes and ears for the clubs
Passionate & energetic with good personal skill
Must be able to talk, listen and understand the needs from the kids and their family
Able to determine the problem and apply the best solutions
A supportive attitude and enthusiastic are a big help to this position
We wish to fill in multiple applicants who can speak in Spanish, Chinese, and other languages
Accounting Assistants
Process vendor invoices for payment
Set up and maintain all vendors in the invoicing system
Collect cash receipts (checks/money orders) and maintain accurate up-to-date cash receipts postings
Record and document all the donations and expenses
Work with Treasurer to create budget and approval of budget requests
PR Assistant
Passion for community services and fundraising
Self-starter and detail-oriented
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
Graphic Designers
Work closely with the PR director to produce deliverables including but not limited to social media posts, display banners, email campaigns, and more
Help prepare the presentation
Essential Skills & Requirements
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
Proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Video Producers / Editors
Assist in coordinating shoots, creating scripts, concepts, and strategies to support team goals
Assist in concept and executing journalistic narrative videos for multiple formats: social channels, email, and event
Assist with filming one-on-one interviews
Assist in maintaining video library and database of footage
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and other video editing software
