2023 Lunar new Year Parade

Out of the five boroughs of New York City, Flushing is located in North Western part of Queens. One of the largest central business district in New York City is downtown Flushing. The area of Flushing is filled with people of different cultures and ethnicity belonging to Asians, Hispanics, Middle Easterns, Europeans and African Americans. This place is therefore called one of the most ethnically diverse places in New York. Flushing is also considered to be the second largest Chinatown in the country.

After two years of hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kiwanis Clubs of Douglaston and Big Apple prepare for the return of the joyous Lunar New Year Parade. Celebrating one of the biggest festivals of the year with others could become a platform for sharing and understanding differences. This year’s celebrations will be memorable, as the Asian community has had different adversities during the ongoing pandemic.

Kiwanians are justifiably proud of the enhancement of children’s lives, which we provide with our altruistic service for the improvement of our communities. Not only are we saving lives as we have done through our Worldwide Service Project, but making lives better each day, one community at a time, one child at a time.

With the launch of our Kiwanis Hope Foundation, we are vow for a long term commitment to help kids that are deeply affected by this pandemic. We can’t do this without your support!
