In the tranquil embrace of October’s gentle whispers, the members of the Kiwanis Club gathered, their hearts illuminated by a common purpose. In collaboration with The Douglaston Local Development Corporation, they embarked on a mission to reinvigorate the spirit of their beloved community by breathing new life into a modest train station, a sanctuary where weary residents sought solace after their daily toils.

We successfully brought in non-perishable food, juice boxes, surgical gloves, masks, face shields, hand sanitizers, and gift cards. Read MoreCelebrating Lunar New Year has long been a beloved and huge holiday tradition to many cultures specifically Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese. The Lunar New Year of 2020 falls on January 25th (Saturday), and the festival will last to February 8th, about 15 days in total. 2020 is a Year of the Rat according to the Chinese zodiac, an animal that symbolizes smart, charming and imaginative. Each year between the eve and Chinese New Year, we gather together with friends and family for a reunion dinner. This is the old family tradition that passes on to the generation.
